Hadera: City/Field / Urban Design Studio

This urban design project dealt with the relationship between Hadera City and the surrounding agricultural fields.

The design attempts to create a new urban growth plan, in which the borders of ciry and field are blurred.

The city sends out urban "decks" which meet the fields and blend with them, creating a mixture of public buildings, orchades and promandes in different levels. The textures and colors of different agricultural areas (wheat, cotton, flowers, oranges) form an urban like grid which surrounds and partly mixes with the built "fingers".

The project was submitted and recieved 3rd place in the departmental student completion.
